Hi, I'm Jenn and this is my blog. (I know, I'm amazing at stating the obvious. It's a rare talent I possess. You have my permission to be impressed.) As it states to left, I'm 25 years old with an awesome husband and two beautiful children. (For privacy purposes, I'll give them nicknames; you can read about them on the characters page.) (Have you noticed I like parentheses? Because I do.)
I'm a bit of a nerd, slightly obsessive compulsive, usually oblivious to what's going on, and I suck at time management. I love, love, love to read and will usually opt to read a new book rather than clean my house - something my husband graciously puts up with most of the time. I love chocolate and I honestly believe that cookies or cake can make any bad situation better. (There's a bakery nearby that I LOVE. I only go there when I can buy something, otherwise it's just too tempting.) However, I am not a cook. I keep it simple and when I want something yummy, it usually comes from the store. (I won't even tell you about my countless attempts at making chocolate chip cookies that come out looking/tasting horrible. It's sad really.) I also have a terrible tendency to ramble, in case you hadn't already noticed.
Ok, let's get to the point of this blog, shall we? I really, really want to be a published author someday. It's a huge dream of mine. And I know I'm one of many, but it's actually a big deal for me to be stating this fact for all to see. But I'm hoping that putting it out there in the universe will help me get it done. So, this blog will chronicle my journey as I attempt to make that dream a reality. It's going to take a while, since I only have 23,000 words for my WIP and I'd like to get my degree before I start submitting anything. (It's a confidence thing.) So in the meantime I'll be posting songs that are getting the creative juices flowing, possible research I might be doing, the ups and downs I'm sure to go through with school, and random incidences from my everyday life, as I continue writing my WIP and attempts to get it published when it's ready.
